A Proud Day for St Margaret's Hospice

Baton-thumbIn August 2014, Glasgow welcomed the 20th Commonwealth Games. As part of the ceremony, the Queens Baton Relay team crossed the 70 Nations and Territories taking part in the Games covering 190,000 km in 288 days.  From 14 June to 23 July 2014 the Baton was in Scotland and during the Baton’s tour of West Dunbartonshire, our hospice, St Margaret of Scotland, was delighted to welcome the Queen’s Baton on Friday 18 July 2014.

Association of Consecrated Women of East and Central Africa

acweca2014-thumbThe opening Mass of the 16th Plenary Session of ACWECA took place on 17th August 2014 at the Cathedral of the Child Jesus, Lusaka, Zambia under the theme: “Go out, be not afraid, and serve”. Prior to the Mass the Cathedral grounds were filled with women religious from all Dioceses of Zambia, along with women religious from each of the countries of East and Central Africa: Eritrea, Ethiopia, Republic of Sudan, South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Malawi.

Congregational Patronal Feast Day

Compassionate Neighbours in Hackney
