In Malawi our sisters are also involved in the field of HIV and AIDS-related ministry.
Approximately 10.6% of the population aged 15-49 years in Malawi is living with HIV/AIDS, the epidemic has exacerbated social problems as diverse as food security and human resource capacity. HIV prevalence amongst women is at 13% and men at 8%. Substantial progress has been made in the provision of antiretroviral therapy (ART). By the end of the 3rd quarter, 2011, an estimated 488,845 people had been started on ART with 296,246 (72%) success rate.
Our sisters are involved in helping people to set up income generating projects.
